We are a neighborhood yoga studio in downtown Durham, NC located at the American Tobacco Campus. Our studio is a peaceful, team-oriented environment - clean, bright, welcoming, and committed to a positive impact on our students and community. We value clarity, community, and connection.
For all roles, we invite you to first join us for a class at the studio. Our Welcome Offer includes 3 classes for $30 and is a perfect way to get to know us and the community from the eyes of a student. After you’ve taken class with us, follow below for more information and next steps to join the YOE team.

Open Karmi Positions: Mondays & Fridays 12-2 PM; weekdays 4-6 PM; and Sundays 4-6 PM.
Open Team Lead Position: Mondays & Fridays 5:30-8:30 PM
Community Team
Our Community Team consists of two distinct roles: Karmis (work/trade program) and Team Leads (paid leadership positions). For either role, consistent evening or weekend availability is required.
Step One: Complete the appropriate Community Team Application, including professional references: Karmi Team Application (work/trade) or Team Lead Application (hourly pay).
Step Two: Interview with a Studio Team Member or Owner
Step Three: If there’s alignment with current studio needs, our owners will reach out to discuss availability, timeline, and role details.
Step Four: Begin onboarding with a digital “new hire” packet, a 60-minute initial meeting with a Team Lead or Studio Owner, followed by two (2) studio Shadow Shifts in which you learn our Pre & Post Class Checklist and basics of our studio software, Walla during a regularly scheduled class.
Teaching Team
Our Teaching Team consists of weekly teachers and substitute teachers.
Step One: Send us an inquiry through our Teacher intake form
Step Two: Studio Owners will contact you to set up a 20-minute teaching demo at the studio
Step Three: If there’s alignment with current studio needs, our owners will reach out to discuss availability, timeline, and role details.
Step Four: Begin onboarding with a digital “new hire” packet, a 60-minute initial meeting with a Team Lead or Studio Owner, followed by two (2) studio Shadow Shifts in which you learn our Pre & Post Class Checklist and basics of our studio software, Walla during a regularly scheduled class.
